At the age of 17, his ambition led him to embark on a remarkable project – building his own CNC machine from scratch. This very machine, meticulously crafted by Olivier, now plays a pivotal role in the production of Van Weis' unique stamps.
Despite the challenges and the years invested, the machine stands as a testament to his dedication.
With a passion for craftsmanship and a lifelong interest in all technical things, Olivier's journey into the world of leatherworking is a tale of dedication and skill. From an early age, he delved into the intricacies of mechanics, from cars to computing,
constantly envisioning the creation of things.
In 2019, Olivier founded Van Weis, creating the brand name and logo, marking the official start of his journey into the world of luxury leather goods. Simultaneously, he was involved in a parallel venture for two years before dedicating himself entirely to Van Weis in 2022, building the brand from the ground up.
